OXFORD BOOK OF POETRY FOR CHILDREN
Kate Greenaway Commendation, 1963
This burgeoning collection of poems, compiled by Edward Blishen, is an introduction to poetry, including delicate tales of fairies, songs of the sea, with a jungle or limerick, moved in here or there and always an element of surprise.
Brian was not satisfied with the layout of this book, feeling it was too cramped and we agree, so here the illustrations are given more space. In order to achieve this the texts have been removed.
